How to configure the organic fertilizer granulation production line?

Russia is interested in the organic fertilizer production line, and before coming to China, they asked us if we had an organic fertilizer production line in operation. The first stop of the customer in China was Beijing. It happened that we had an old customer's production site in Cangzhou, Hebei, and Hebei is very close to Beijing. After some discussion, we went to visit the organic fertilizer granulation production line in Cangzhou, Hebei with the Russian customer. After arriving at the destination, the customer was very satisfied with the normal operation of the production line. After returning home, he planned to purchase an organic fertilizer production line from us, and the business manager will be responsible for the matter. So how to configure the organic fertilizer granulation production line?

I. Main Process Flow

1. Raw material pretreatment

Fermentation and composting: Raw materials (livestock and poultry manure, straw, etc.) are completely decomposed by aerobic fermentation (15-30 days) and meet the harmless standard.

Crushing and screening: The decomposed raw materials are crushed to 5mm by a grinder (such as a semi-wet material grinder) to remove impurities.

2. Mixing and blending

Formula adjustment: Add functional auxiliary materials (such as NPK fertilizers, microbial agents, binders, etc.) according to needs and mix evenly.

Moisture control: Adjust the moisture content of the material to 20%-30% (suitable range for granulation).

3.Granulation and molding (key link)

Select the granulation method according to the material characteristics:

Disc granulation (wet granulation)

Principle: The material rolls in the inclined rotating disc, spraying water or binder (such as bentonite) to form spherical particles.

Features: The particles are smooth (3-5mm in diameter), suitable for organic-inorganic compound fertilizers.

Extrusion granulation (dry granulation)

Principle: The material is extruded through the die hole at high pressure and cut into cylindrical particles (2-6mm in diameter).

Features: No drying is required, suitable for pure organic fertilizer, but the particle hardness is low.

Drum granulation: Suitable for large-scale production, the material is agglomerated into particles by rotating the drum.

4. Drying and cooling

Drying: The particles enter the drum dryer (temperature 80), and the moisture content is reduced to 15%.

Cooling: Cooling is carried out by the countercurrent cooler to prevent the particles from agglomerating and improve the strength.

5. Screening and coating

Screening: Vibrating screen separates qualified particles (returned materials to the granulation stage).

Coating (optional): Spray anti-caking agent or slow-release coating to improve product performance.

6. Packaging and storage

Automatic packaging machine quantitative packaging (commonly 25-50kg/bag), finished products are stored in a dry environment.

II. Key Equipment

Fermentation equipment: turner, fermentation tank, aeration system.

Crushing equipment: semi-wet material crusher, chain crusher.

Granulation equipment: disc granulator, extrusion granulator.

Drying/cooling equipment: drum dryer, cooler.

Auxiliary equipment: belt conveyor, screening machine, packaging machine.

III. Process Features

Eco-Friendly: Reduces waste pollution and enables recycling.

Adaptability: Processes diverse organic waste (e.g., poultry manure, cattle dung, mushroom residue).

Flexibility: Produces powdered or granular fertilizers for varied market needs.

Efficiency: High automation, capacity up to 1-20 tons/hour.

IV. Product Standards

Organic Matter: ≥30% (per NY 525-2021).

Moisture: ≤30%.

pH: 5.5-8.5.

Safety: Fecal coliforms ≤100/g, Ascaris egg mortality ≥95%.

V. Applications

Agriculture: Improves soil structure and crop yield.

Landscaping: Used in greening and horticulture.

Organic Farming: Complies with organic certification standards.

By optimizing the production line, organic fertilizer manufacturing achieves waste reduction, harmless treatment, and resource recovery, delivering both economic and ecological benefits.
